About Mo Alrawi
NHS Practice
Currently a Consultant Plastic surgeon at the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals Foundation NHS Trust since November 2012. His NHS practice is based mainly at the Royal Victoria Infirmary, his practice is broad with main special interest in skin cancer and lymph node surgery, hidradenitis suppurativa and reconstruction surgery of facial defects, abdominal hernia, perineal defect, upper and lower limb trauma including microsurgery.
Cosmetic Surgery Practice
Mr. Alrawi main independent practice is mainly based at the Cobalt Hospital Ramsey health care centre at the Cobalt business park in Silverlink, The Peter Smith Surgery centre at the queen Elizabeth Hospital (Tyne Surgical Services) and the Private Lodge at the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
He has experience in facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery , Facial rejuvenation surgery of the upper and lower eyelid, brow lift (browpexy), facelift, correction of prominent ears and rhinoplasty.
He has experience in Breast cosmetic Surgery including Breast Augmentation, Breast Reduction, mastopexy (breast lift), Inverted nipple correction, lipomodelling and correction of Gynaecomastia.
He also has experience in Body contouring surgery like; lipomodelling, Liposuction, abdominoplasty (Tummy tuck), arm reduction.

Awarded CCT (certificate of completion of higher surgical training in plastic surgery) November 2012
Awarded (FRCS Plast) the Intercollegiate Board in Plastic and Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery December 2012.

Training in Plastic Surgery

Mr. Alrawi training and experience in plastic surgery developed over years of well structured higher surgical training program based in the North East of England sponsored by the Northern deanery as part of British national training program led to the award of certificate of completion of training (CCT) in November 2012. The training involves rotating between three regional units in Plastic Surgery; the Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals NHS foundation NHS trust, University Hospital of North Durham and James Cook University Hospital. He also completed a training interface group fellowship in cosmetic reconstructive surgery in 2009 at Sheffield’s NHS and independent practice hospitals.
